So many special things about today- but one moment that meant a lot was when my 4 yr old picked the first present to be opened would be for me (i.e. NOT himself!)

I can't sleep... because it's almost CHRISTMAS day! When will I ever grow up? Hopefully never.

Merry Christmas! What makes this day special is it is the first christmas where my son is old enough to understand what's going on.

This year we are starting new traditions with future in-laws.

This year due to an ice storm, Christmas was moved up from the 25th to the 23rd so that the great grandmas could be with us... so what is special about today (25th) is that my hubby, 2.5 year old son, and I will spend the whole day together... no one going anywhere... we are just going to cuddle up on the sofa and watch movies and eat Christmas cookies!!

What is special is that it is my baby's first Christmas! And it's the first Christmas that my older daughter really got excited about Santa!

This is our first Christmas with our sweet baby and that definitely makes it special! Although he doesn't understand it all yet, he had fun tearing open his presents and playing with his gifts, which he liked almost as much as the wrapper and ribbon!

This Christmas was special because it was just us, the kids were able to wake up from their own beds and see the presents that had been left for them. We had great food, enjoyed each other and was so relaxing.

This day was special because everyone seemed to be in a good mood, even the usually grumpy guys! There wasn't any bickering or anything unpleasant!! Yea!

This was the first Christmas I have spent with all my bestest friends and their families. It was so much more relaxing and laid back than the family thing, and the littlies enjoyed playing together, too.

Today has been special in an entirely different kind of way. We were hammered with a winter storm that has caused the cancellation of nearly all Christmas plans. Instead of a day spent with family for our traditional Christmas dinner, we are stuck at home shoveling ourselves out. With no end in sight, it's been so great to spend this day together, alone, at home, eating leftovers and listening to Christmas tunes. ♥

What made this XMAS special was that it began as a White Christmas. We haven't had a White Christmas in North Texas for 83 years! It was coming down heavily Christmas Eve, but the white blanket stayed around until mid-morning on Christmas. I will remember this day for a long time!

Today was special because we did nothing all day. We built things out of Legos, put together a puzzle, had Nerf gun wars, just hung out together all day as a family.

Today was perfect because my daughter's face lit up when she saw that he received the new Ipod Nano with video camera for Christmas!

Today was special because after all the busyness of the past few weeks preparing for Christmas, today I could just enjoy everything - time with my family, time to play games, time to catch up with relatives we don't see throughout the year, and time to remember the reason for the season.

Once thing extra special for me was when my girls opened the photobooks I had printed for them with all the scrapbook pages I'd done over the last year. Everything stopped and they just poured over their books in fascination. At 3 and 6 years old, that made my heart glad to know they loved the albums I'd put so much time and effort into.

This year has been extremely tough for us financially, I had decided that we weren't going to be able to make it to my mom's which has NEVER happened. Luckily we were able to go and for me that was the best part!!!

Today, the most special thing was that everyone was here in one place. We have five grown children with their respective spouses and significant others and eight grandchildren, all living in different places. It is so hard to get them all together in one room! So nice to have them all here again to spend the night under one roof for Christmas Eve and wake up together for breakfast Christmas morning! My favorite Christmas ever.
