

and here are my own personal tips on choosing a photo to get the best black and white edit...
1. Lighting is important. If you have some dramatic lighting going on in the photo, it will work really well for a black and white.
2. Texture, not just in the clothing, but in the scenery. When you have different "textures" in the photo, it adds a perfect contrasting effect in the photo. However, if you have too much going on in the background, it can seem confusing to the viewer.
3. Finally, Angle. Angle adds interest to the subject when you are shooting and when you combine the lighting, textures and creative angle all into one photo, you can get a stunning & dramatic black & white photo.
