schools out for summer

sort of. I still have the rest of the week to spend at school (progress reports, training, etc.) but the kids are already enjoying their first day off. It rained. Hopefully they made the best of it. :)

Paige played her very first T-Ball game today and never even had to use the T! They give them three pitches before they have them use the T and she hit it both times without it! It was sooo funny to watch them play. They'd only had one practice before they actually had a game, so they were still a little bit confused about how it all worked. Half the time, they were running the wrong way...or not running at all. Eventually Paige made it around the bases to home. Scott was on third base helping to "direct" them and all she wanted to do was hold his hand. I do have to say that she was the most coordinated girl on the team...and even possibly more than most of the boys. She even got a little competitive when trying to catch a ground ball. She wanted to beat the other boys to it. And she did. but then she gave it back to them because she didn't know what to do with it. GOOD times, I tell ya. :) I'll bring the camera next time. We brought the video but I still need to learn to share it online somehow...any suggestions?

My Sweet Dreams Stash Vol. 13 is up in the store. Be sure to pick it up before the 15th of June...this was a fun stash to create!!

AND I'm a contributing designer to The Daily Digi.
My portion of the grab bag will be revealed on June 23...which will be when they feature me on their site!

Finally, here's the digi dare for this week.... The Digi Dares
and my layout:

Journaling reads:

it was time. my name was called. my mind raced back to the previous 18 months. my life was altered when i saw the double lines. we cried. we were scared. our future went down a path that we had no intention of taking. it was a leap of faith…a leap that led me to this day. the ceremonial walk across the endless stage. i did this. i made this happen. despite the obstacles i faced. despite the stereotypes. despite the sleepless nights. despite the fear that i was defective. i did this. i made it. i learned that i am capable and that diligence and persistence can take a person farther than any expectations set by a society. i cleared another hurdle put in place by the choice i made. against all odds, i did it.

I've been just using youtube to share videos. It's pretty easy but the uploading and file conversion (behind the scenes at youtube) take a while. You can also try Vimeo.

I loved your Dare layout this week. Really great journaling.
