{insert clever title here}

**warning** This is a very boring post with no pictures. SORRY!!

Time flies when you're having fun...or at least when you're busy! Now that the holidays are over you would think that things start to settle down. NOPE..not where I teach. It's just the beginning of a roller coaster of events that we have to get the kids ready for...skiing/snowboarding classes, speech festival, music festival, and much more. It certainly makes this time of the year go by fast and before we know it, it's spring and we are getting ready for school to end (another busy time of the year).

I finally broke down and joined Gold's Gym. We just got a new, beautiful facility this past summer and I drive by it ever day. It's funny..after all of those months of driving by, the parking lot was NEVER as full as it was that first week of January. I guess everyone had the same New Year's Resolution. :) I have almost finished up week two of consistently going (5 days a week) and they say it takes 3 weeks to make something a habit...so I'm almost there! My diet is my next feat...and what a feat *that* is! They also had sign-ups for their 12 week Challenge at Gold's. It's a free contest to all members. You just sign up and do what you do to get as fit as you can. There are a lot of different judging criteria (weight, body fat, etc.) So I go in to register and they pinch you all over (to get your body fat...that info will not be disclosed at this time), they make you get on a scale (taking the 5th on that one, too) and then you have to go into this tiny room and stand against this chart with all of these measurements on it. They you inform you that you can take your shirt off or leave it on but that it's better to take it off because then you get a better picture of the progress you've made in the 12 weeks. Some of you don't know that I have somewhat of a competitive side to me. I thought "what the hell" and I ripped my shirt off. There I stood in all my glory, hot pink bra and all!! I almost hope that I don't win because they WILL be posting the pictures...wait, not pictures but POSTERS...of the winners ALL over the gym (the before and after). BUT the prize is $3000 so it may be worth it...
at the very least, it's been a motivation for me in getting my fat ass to the gym. :) I'll keep ya posted on my progress!

That's all I have for now.. I don't have any photos to share. :( I need to get my camera fixed. I heard about a 365 day photo challenge and I *really* want to participate. I'm already a whole month behind!
