::more in store:: PLUS a tiny give-away

I didn't get these next two new items into the store for our New Tuesday Sale, but I went ahead and marked them down 20% off anyways...

This first item is another addition to my Photo Overlays collection. I focused this set on color. Using color overlays can add a dramatic, artistic effect to photos, but you can also use it sparingly, for a more subtle look. That's what I love about this next set...the versatility of the overlays because you are simply using blending modes and playing with the opacity of them You get to be in control...you are the artist!! Introducing...

Photo Overlays ::Celebrating Color::

Check out the before and afters...
(this one is my favorite...I used the purple overlay)

What do ya think?? I had a lot of fun playing. :)

I am SUPER excited about this next product because it means that I am going to be committed to doing something that I wanted to do LAST year but I missed out on it.
Ever heard of Project 365?? I am not sure of the origins (maybe I can find that out and post about it later) but the general idea is that you use your camera to take snapshots of your daily life...it's sort of a celebration, as well as a documentation, to what your daily doings are. I LOVE the idea because you could use it as a visual journal, and since I STINK at keeping a writing journal, this is a perfect substitution for me.

SO, to motivate myself (and hopefully you), I created a documenting kit so that you would be able to do this quickly and simply. This wasn't meant to be about the fun elements and colorful papers that I usually put into my kits...it was about the photos. pure and simple. let them do the talking. I will be posting my layouts every now and then, so be sure to come back often to see what the happenings are in my life.

A Year to Remember ::Project 365::

AND guess what this made me do?? Use some photos from TWO SUMMERS AGO. I have them and have maybe used one or two on layouts, but most are photos that I wouldn't have normally used on a layout, however, they were photos that I took for a reason. I wanted to remember ever single piece of my trip. This trip was significant because it was to St. Louis where I was visiting my twin sister, whom I only get to see once (twice if I'm lucky) a year.

*please note that there are TWO versions of this...both are the same, but one version is for personal use while the other is for professional use (this would be for photographers to use for their clients). Please pay attention to the version that you are buying and make sure it's for your intended use.

SO..who's with me??? Post here if you want to join me in Project 365. One lucky person will receive $5 to my store! I'll hold the drawing on Saturday evening (the first day of 2010)...can you believe it??

good luck. get your cameras ready. dust off your photo skills (or not..it really won't matter).

how will you remember 2010?
Leora

This year's project 365 turned into more of a project 220... but the memories I captured were priceless, and I did a better job of documenting the "little" moments than ever before. So here's to continuing to celebrate our real lives (and not just the holidays or big days), as often as I get around to it! Thanks for the giveaway, and happy new year!

I have only been doing digital scrapbooking for 4 months now, and wondered what P365 was all about. This is a fabulous idea...I always take pictures, download them, and then wonder "now what did I take that picture for??" This will fix that, and the jouraling! THANK YOU so much for explaining, giving inspiration, and sharing your talents!

LOL! I would be thrilled if my photos looked as good as your "before" shots. See, this is what makes you an artist.

Your templates are great!

I am definitely doing it again this year. I did it in 2008 but then gave up half way through 2009 and I really miss it. It's a great way to document your day to day life.

Hi Leora! I am ONE photo away from completing Project 365 this year. Not only did I take at least one photo a day, I also blogged every single day. It was quite the undertaking, but I love having the documentation and memories! I'm not doing it again in 2010 though. P365 took an average of an hour of my time every day. I'm on to something new for 2010. But I did write an article about P365 for the upcoming DAM (or Embellished) magazine. It should come out in the next few days. Happy 2010!

I took photos every day this year... was horrible at scrapping them... that is what I'm going to work on this year!!! It's awesome... also got me out of the house and as a SAHM, I need reasons to leave. LOL!

I got up to day 155 in 2008 but I'm going to give it another go in 2010. This time I'm going to take a photo and write a tweet (not necessarily posted to twitter but 140 characters or less) to go with it for the year.

How funny...I just downloaded your project 360 kit so I am planning on using it...I did a 'warm-up' in the month of November-picture and a one sentence bit everyday so I am hoping I can keep up with all 12 months!

I'm on board! I did really well in 2009 until my uncle passed away in November and then it was December...Hopefully I'll do better in 2010. It's a lot of fun to flip through the pages I did complete. It's a very worthwhile, and rewarding, project.

I'd love to start it! especially because I'm really into taking pictures everywhere and every time I can :)
