SO this week, (besides the Dare) I'll share a few etsy shops that I have come across that I have fallen in love with. The thing I love most about Etsy is that it's allowed artists to have a forum for sharing their work with people all over the world wide web. It's like finding little hidden treasures. AND it' all about the hand-made pieces of art. It's so inspiring to see the variety of ways that people can use their hands to create beautiful pieces of art that you can do just about anything with, whether it be clothing to wear or something to hang on your wall.
Take a look at these GORGEOUS slip covers for your camera straps. I found them by checking out Ali's blog and she was doing a giveaway...bummer that I missed it...

I think this is my most FAVE of all...(I love me some polka-dots)
but this one is a close second..
I also found this artist..It caught my eye because of some exciting news I have to share about our school.
Happy Family

How cool is that?! I'm thinking of buying one...April is the study of the Natural World at our school and I want to wear it sometime that month. A dear friend of the Dean of the school where I work (PCCS) wrote a grant for a wind turbine from Lowes and we were fortunate to receive the money. This is exciting for our school because we strive to be a "green" school in not only what we teach, but what we practice. Last year we received a grant for some solar panels. These two energy alternatives have allowed us to teach our students about alternative energy and what the power of the sun and wind can do for the preservation of the earth's commodities. Of course, both of them are not big enough to power our entire school, but it's more about the education and the example that it's setting for the community. When you drive up to our school and see these two impressive pieces of equipment, you know that we are doing our part to educate young ones about the importance of taking care of our environment and our earth. I really am proud to be a part of a school that is so innovative in their approach to teaching. It's made me a better person all the way around.
Finally, here's the layout that I created for the Digi Dare #124 this week...I hope you will play along!! {The Digi Dares}
Have a great week!!
