family time

So we have been busy for the last two weeks attending family reunions and get togethers. It's been great but in the back of mind I knew I had a load of scrapbook work to return to so it was hard to NOT think about that and just enjoy being there with family.

There was ONE place, however, that made me *almost* forget about it all..for a brief moment. I call it a park on steroids...this place was FREAKIN' INCREDIBLE! Joe (my stepbrother) is dating a gal whose father has created this amazingly unique private park for his family and grandchildren. It's 7 acres of heaven on earth. There are whimsical statues all over the place, a witches playhouse (not sure why they call it that...guess just for fun), a beach vollyball pit, a pit to roast marshmallows, a castle (still in progress..complete with mote and watchtower and an open ceiling), an enormous home that houses a ballroom and art gallery, complete with a Martha Stewert kitchen (times 3), a pavillion for eating and bbqing. King Lewey from the Jungle book sits atop a huge tent that houses tons of playground structures and two giraffes (statues of course) were purchased from the Utah Hoggle zoo and placed in front of the home. On top of the home sits and enormous gorrilla, watching over the entire home and park....the place is amazing!!

Here are a few pictures of this place, nestled among the mountains in Pleasant Grove, UT.

I'm off to finish some more work...doesn't it seem like the deadlines all come at once???

Oh my goodness! We were practically next-door in Cedar Hills, UT on the 8th and 9th, coming back from a trip to Great Falls, MT. These photos look like such a fun place--
Congrats to your husband for getting the grant. I really love all that weird, interesting water they have in Yellowstone. In fact, I think that's my favorite part! Glad they're taking such good care of it.
