NEW Collab ::plus winner::

Hello! I hope your Valentine's Day was a great one. Me and the husband got a hotel room to just get away...even though we didn't technically go anywhere, it was still nice and relaxing! :) It was especially nice to have today off.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with the talented Peppermint of One Little Bird Designs, who is new to designing, but not to the digi world. In fact, she's on my CT...I just love her style. If her flair for creating layouts wasn't enough, she had to top it all off with her new flair for putting together digital scrapbooking kits and elements!! I bought her first kit and fell in love! I was so excited to create this kit with her because she has such a knack for elements!! I'm telling ya...this chicka is gonna go far!! This kit is a must-have!! This kit is all about the chill factor (and I'm nt talking about the temperature). Tranquil moments are the key to a happy life. We created a kit that evokes how it feels when we seize the opportunity to relax, to experience peaceful moments free from stress and commotion.

New Product Tues. ::New Line of Templates::

I've had many requests to create some templates that cater to the simple scrapper, so I've finally obliged. :) These templates differ from others out there in that each one will have a little something more...a little flair, whether that's a label, a colorful heart border, or a decorative stamp. The first set is available now, just in time for New Product Tuesday at Little Dreamer Designs. Pick them up for 20% off, all day Tuesday.

Countdown Calendar Giveaway

**CONTEST CLOSED**
(but the freebie is still available! )

I have a problem that needs solving. I've never done an advent calendar before and I've seen some pretty cute ideas out there. Browsing online, I came across some fabulous ideas for advent calendars, including some scrapbooking advent calendars to alter...the

and the

I liked the idea of being able to customize my own (using my own digi papers) and I LOVED that the little boxes could be filled with something new for each day. I couldn't decide on which one to buy, so in true Leora-fashion, I bought them BOTH! :) I wanted to use my own papers on the calendars, but I couldn't find a template online. Frustrated, I thought "hmm..I'll make one myself!" And I did. Soooo..now I'm stuck with a template that I have already used and an extra countdown calendar because who needs TWO advent calendars??!! What's a girl to do...

How about I give them to YOU??!! Click the download link below to create your OWN cut-outs for the calendars. The templates are easy to use...simply create a clipping mask for the template with your favorite digi papers. I've even included samples (if you're not good with photoshop) ready to print off using the papers from my Christmas Flair kit. There are two samples...one to fit the Karen Foster Calendar and one to fit the Kaiser Craft Calendar.

PLUS one lucky person will receive the Karen Foster 3D Calendar FREE! I will mail it out first thing Wednesday morning!! All you have to do is post in the comments section and click the "FOLLOW" button ob the righ column under "MEET LEORA" so that you won't miss out on any other giveaways that I have planned!!

SO, without further ado, check out what I did today....

I almost forgot what craft glue is...or at least how *messy* the stuff is!!

I even had some help from some little hands. :) (thank you, Paige)

This was cut from my template sample one.

After 3 hours of getting inky fingers, sticky hands and glitter in my hair, I finally finished my very first advent calendar!!
Products Used:
My Digital Kit, Christmas Flair at Little Dreamer Designs
"Real" scrapbooking supplies:
Mistletoe Glitter Leaves from Making Memories
Favorite Felt Stickers from Little Yellow Bicycle
Star Ornament bare element from Creative Imaginations
Glue dots, ColorBox ink, Aleene's Tacky Glue and EK Success hole punch
The background in the shadow box was done by me in photoshop.

BOTH calendars and supplies are available at many online scrapbooking stores, but you may want to check out your local scrapbook store (I did...thanks Kellie and Amy at Scrappin' Essentials!!)

*whew* what a PROJECT! I have not gotten "crafty" in years!! It was actually quite fun. It gave me an idea for a blog feature that I may bring back again and again!! *wink*

OKAY so let me re-cap the rules, since there are soooo many to remeber:
1. comment on this blog post
2. Click the FOLLOW button on the right column, right under "MEET LEORA"
*I know...it's pretty complicated*

OH and one more thing...if the winner is from somewhere outside the U.S. I will give them a gift code to my store instead(due to the cost of shipping) and then I'll pick a different winner. The winner will be picked by people posting from now and tomorrow evening (10:00 MST).

Have fun!!!

P.S. The U.S countdown for Christmas begins on Tuesday, Dec. 1st
